Annual Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar
The University of New Orleans and Latter & Blum, Inc. are presenting the Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar for the New Orleans Region on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the UNO Lakefront Campus in the University Center Ballroom from 8:00AM – 12:30PM. This is the seminar’s 25th Anniversary which will bring together people from a wide cross-section of the region’s business, professional and civic communities.
Registration and networking begins at 8:00AM, followed by opening remarks from UNO President Dr. Peter Fos and Dr. John Williams, Dean of the UNO College of Business Administration.
Dr. Ivan Miestchovich, Director of the UNO Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research, will serve as moderator for three panel presentations.
The first will focus on “The Nexus: Where Economic Development and Real Estate Intersect” with Michael Hecht of GNO, Inc., Roderick Miller of New Orleans Business Alliance, Kurt Weigle of the Downtown Development District of New Orleans, Jerry Bologna of JEDCO and Brenda Bertus of St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation.
The next two panels will address the trends and outlooks for the real estate market. The Commercial Real Estate panelists include Bruce Sossaman, Corporate Realty; Marty Mayer, Stirling Properties and Dr. John Williams, Dean of the UNO College of Business Administration. The Residential Real Estate panel features Richard Haase of Latter & Blum, Inc., Larry Schedler of Larry G. Schedler & Associates and Geoffrey Lutz of G. Geoffrey Lutz Appraisal Services.
The cost to attend the seminar is $35 in advance (registering by Monday, May 5, 2014) and $40 at the door. The event is free to UNO faculty, staff and students, but they must register as well.
