Buddy Break
The event benefits both man and dog by pairing them for strolls in the square. The aim is to give people a break from work, while allowing the shelter dogs to get an extra dose of socialization and exercise for the day. Buddy Break is an effort coordinated by Camp Bow Wow and the Jefferson SPCA and takes place Dec. 12 from noon until 5 p.m. at Lafayette Square in the CBD.
No commitments or strings attached. Just an opportunity to get your "doggie fix."
People can also participate in a puppy party for kids, a photo booth and even a kissing booth. Those interested in adopting can also do so that afternoon.
