What is Dia de los Muertos?
Día de los Muertos is a celebration of life that originated in central and southern Mexico and dates back 3,000 years. But in modern day celebration, people paint their faces to look like skulls decorating it to represent a deceased loved one or an expression of themselves.
Why celebrate?
To remember and honor the memory of deceased loved ones. It is not a gloomy or morbid occasion, rather it is a festive and colorful holiday celebrating the life of those who have passed on.

Volunteers Needed!
The Dia de los Muertos Festival is A LOT of fun but it also takes a lot of hard work from amazing volunteers. Our event planning committee helps plan and organize the event but we also need volunteers that can show up on the day of the event to work some volunteer shifts. Volunteers will sign up for shifts to work during the festival doing everything from set up to tear down, kid?s corner supervision, selling drink tickets to picking up trash.
This event can help volunteers in need of service hours. All volunteers will receive an event volunteer t-shirt, food and drink tickets.
If you are interested in helping make this event a huge success, please fill out this form and a committee member will be in contact with you. We'll have more information for the day of volunteers, such as available shifts and tasks, as the festival gets closer.
