This lunch will feature Dominick F. Impastato, III Councilman, District 4.
Dominick Impastato was elected to the District 4 seat in October 2017. He was re-elected in 2019 to serve for another four years. Prior to joining the Jefferson Parish Council, Dominick served as the District 5 Councilman on the Kenner City Council from 2014 until November 1, 2017. During that time, he served as President of the Kenner City Council for the year 2016. A lifelong resident of Kenner, Dominick graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1997 as Salutatorian and Student Council President. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University in 2001. Dominick continued his education at Loyola University School of Law. Earning his Juris Doctorate in 2004, he graduated 2nd in the Class and ranked 1st In Civil Law Division, with Summa Cum Laude honors.
Currently, he is partner and trial attorney for Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz, & Impastato, LLC. New Orleans City Business recognized him in 2013 as one of the Top 50 Lawyers in New Orleans. In addition, Super Lawyers Magazine and New Orleans Magazine have recognized him as one of the top trial attorneys in Louisiana in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Most recently, he was recognized as one of the top 100 trial attorneys in the country and the top 40 trial attorneys under 40 years old in the country by a National Trial Magazine and organization.
In addition to serving on the Council, Dominick’s commitment extends to various public outlets. He was elected to the Republican Party Parish Executive Committee, District 4 in 2012. He was appointed to the Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners and to the Kenner Economic Development Committee. Dominick has served on several boards such as the sub-committee on economic development for Laketown Development, Citizens Advisory Council for Jefferson Parish, and the Civil Service Board for Kenner firefighters and police.The Greater New Orleans Republicans recently named Dominick Republican of the Year 2017. He was also named 2019 Crimefighter of the Year by Crimestoppers Greater New Orleans.
For 19 years, he has been a volunteer baseball coach for the City of Kenner All-star program and Recreation Department. Dominick resides in Kenner with his wife, Shannon, and their three children, Dominick IV, Mia, and Joseph.
