Top business leaders from our community travel to the Capitol to advocate for Jefferson's interests during the annual Washington Fly-In Sept. 14-16. The Fly-In is vital for discussing important business issues with Jefferson Parish's congressional delegation and other federal officials.
Attendees will spend three days and two nights in Washington D.C. The Jefferson Chamber makes all hotel and flight arrangements and coordinates meetings, networking opportunities and after-hours activities during the trip.
Limited opportunities available to sponsor and/or attend.
Below is the current agenda for the trip:
Wednesday, September 14th:
1:00pm- Transportation from DCA to Mandarin Hotel
1:30pm- Grab and Go Lunch from the Mandarin
2:00pm – 4:00pm –US Chamber Legislative Briefings
4:05-5:30pm – Free time
5:30- Load Bus
5:45pm- Transportation to Adams and Reese
6:00pm-9:00pm Po’boys and Politics
After Reception* – Optional Late night Capitol Tour with Garret Graves

Thursday, September 15th
6:00- 8:00am – Breakfast at Hotel
7:30am- Meet in Lobby to load the bus
7:45am- Coach transfer to Capitol Welcome Center
8:00am -Bus drop off at Capitol Welcome Center
8:30am- 1:30pm- Briefings with LA Congressional Delegation
1:30pm- 5:00pm – *Optional Bus to Hotel* Free time
5:00pm – Meet in lobby for bus
5:15pm- Coach to Capitol Hill Club
5:30pm-7:00pm- Reception with Congressman Scalise at the Capitol Hill Club Speakers Room located on the 3rd floor
**V. Dress: Members and guests are courteously requested to observe the following regulations regarding dress at the Club. Gentlemen will please wear coats and ties in the Main Dining Room. Coats with collared shirts will be acceptable throughout the other areas of the Club. Current trends dictate the acceptability of ladies’ high-fashion attire.**

Attendees hear from representatives of the US Chamber of Commerce as they discuss the inside scoop on hot issues and policies affecting the business community. Held at the Mandarin Oriental, which is prominently placed along the Capital’s revitalized Southwest Waterfront, Washington DC.
