Young Professionals Mentor Series
Three volunteer mentors from our Board of Directors will be hosting 5-7 Young Professionals for a lunch. They will be allowed to ask questions and get advice on how to overcome any obstacles in their professional lives. This is an opportunity to network, learn, and get consulting for your business.

Charlotte Burnell
U S Army Corp of Engineers . The firm started as a 1 person operation, has grown and been successful for 16 years to date.
The company was selected by the SBA and the State of La as the Small Business Champion for Southeast La in 2006.
Understanding the operations of private companies as well as government agencies has given her a unique perspective in her business ventures.
Ms. Burnell has 20+ years of experience in Project management and development working with Public and Private Clients. Her background includes; 14 yrs. of Government management experience serving as the CAO for the City of Kenner , Finance and Vice Chair of the Regional Transit Authority for 15yrs representing Jefferson Parish , Chair of an Economic Development , nonprofit , Transition teams for three Jefferson Parish Mayors as well as their Economic Development Committees. Master Planning and Construction Management consultant for the New Orleans Airport, as well as numerous large and small construction projects in the area from Federal City to New School and Medical Facilities in the area.
Being an active participant in Community and Business Organizations has developed long term relationships within the Greater New Orleans area. She has served as a Board Member and Government Chair for the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, represented Small Businesses of La, in Washington DC as a member of the Senate's Small Business Committee's Roundtable at the request of Senator Landrieu, serves as a Board member and Past Chair for the March of Dimes (13 Parish New Orleans Chapter) as well as the State Board of Directors. Charlotte was born and raised in the New Orleans area and holds a BS degree from Loyola University.
Julie Willoz
is a game changer. She transforms workplace culture. She helps leaders uncover hidden obstacles that could be sabotaging their success. Companies hire her to educate team members on proven methods of customer service excellence, essential leadership methods. and interpersonal workplace relations. Julie’s leadership values were formed during her 10 year tenure with the Walt Disney Company, where she served as a Guest Service Manager, Corporate Trainer, and Recruiter for the gulf south region. Julie has first-hand experienced high volume, peak season customer interaction and understands the necessary tools for effective leadership under pressure. She is skilled in guest service recovery and received numerous accolades highlighting her ability to exceed guest expectations.
Julie is not only trained in the proven Disney service methods, she was a Disney University trainer. Julie was selected from an applicant pool of 300 to be on a 30 person corporate culture training team to teach the famed “Traditions” class. Her high energy facilitation inspired participants to incorporate new ideas immediately. Julie took those skills on the road as a Recruiter in 2005 for the Disney College Program facilitating hundreds of presentations across the country on university campuses. As a regionally-based Recruiter out of her hometown of New Orleans, La. her leadership was put to the ultimate test as she experienced firsthand the devastation of Hurricane Katrina just one week into the job. Julie overcame unimaginable adversity and lead her team through unprecedented challenges to success.Julie recruited for nearly five years and retired her “mouse ears” to launch Willoz Consulting in January 2011.
Her insights have contributed to two books, “Employee Engagement: Lessons from the Mouse House” and “I Got my Dream Job and So Can You”. Julie has her Master degree in Organizational Management and serves as Adjunct Faculty with Tulane University.
Julie resides in Metairie, La with her Nurse Practitioner husband and two daughters. She is very active in civic and community organizations in the greater New Orleans area, including serving on the Executive Board with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and the La Assoc. of Colleges & Employers, and WYES.
Todd P. Murphy
A native of Metairie, La., Todd is President of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Appointed to by the Board of Directors in May of 2012, Todd is the primary spokesperson for the organization driving membership development, marketing, and advocacy. Since taking the lead of the Chamber representing businesses of the largest parish in the region, the organization has taken several notable public policy positions; grown its Voice of members by 20%; and received a four-star Accreditation from the US Chamber of Commerce; and was honored as with the “Top Leader” award as Best Chamber in the State of Louisiana, large Chamber category, by the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. |
Most recently, Todd was Sr. Vice President of Omni Bank, which through acquisition became Iberia Bank. Todd’s duties included the oversight of all revenue and sales for the one of the leading community banks in the state. He served on Omni’s executive management team and was the lead business developer of the branches, treasury management, wealth management, trust, and mortgage departments. Additionally, in the primary years of his 13 years in banking, Todd had direct oversight of marketing, business development, government, media, and community and government relations.
Currently, Todd is a member of the board of GNO, Inc., Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and is a member of the UNO College of Business Advisory Board.

Previously, Todd has served on the Board of Directors of the East Jefferson Business Association, PAC of the Louisiana Bankers Association, Acacia Fraternity House Corp., East Jefferson Family YMCA, Chateau Estates Civic Organization, East Jefferson Republican Parish Council, (Chairman), and he was a Founder and Board Member of the Jefferson Young Leaders. In addition, he was elected in 1992 to the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee. Todd is also a Fellow of the Institute of Politics at Loyola University.
In the spring of 2003, Todd graduated from the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, (NORLI). In 2002, he reigned as the Irish Grand Marshal of the Irish-Italian Parade in Metairie. He has served on the Jefferson Parish Charter Advisory Board, the “Jeff 2000” Committee, the “Jefferson Edge” Committee, Kenner Mayor’s Transition Team and the Kenner Economic Development Committee. In 1999, Todd received the Power Generation Award from the New Orleans Publishing Group honoring leaders under the age of 40. And, in 2004, received the Top 40 Under 40 Award from Gambit Communications. This year he was honored as one of the People to Watch by New Orleans Magazine.
Todd, 48, holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University with minors in Economics, Management, and Speech Communication. Additionally, he is a 2006 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Todd is married to the former Keri Robin and has two children, Kaci and Kelli.
