Using 1000 bags of sand sourced sustainably using recycled glass from Glass Half Full, volunteers will help plant native grass plugs in order to rebuild marsh habitat along the Lake Pontchartrain shore. This will create vital habitat for native species, serve as a line of defense against storm surge, and will create an easily accessible recreation area for the public to enjoy.
