Louisiana Early Ed Month 2022: Parent Advocacy Training
Parent Voices Matter. Research has shown access to quality early education has educational and lifelong benefits for both the young learner and parent/guardian. However, in Louisiana, only 15% of children ages zero to four have access to any publicly funded early education program. This hour-long training will give you the opportunity to ask a state elected official your questions about how to stay engaged as a parent, to learn how to find and contact your elected officials, and to get informed about upcoming opportunities in your community to support access to quality early care and education. Parent voices matter and as parents, we have the power to change the lives of our state's youngest learners. Please join us. A special thanks to our sponsors: Entergy, Jones Walker LLP, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co., Blue Cross and Blue Shield Of Louisiana, Clara's Little Lambs Preschool Academy, Agenda for Children, Committee of 100 Louisiana, Cox, Save the Children Action Network, Stand for Children Louisiana, Resourceful Consulting, Gambel Communications and Baptist Community Ministries.
