Prosper Jefferson: Advertising, Marketing, & Branding

As savvy business owners know, an integrated marketing and branding strategy is vital to a company’s success. Managing your company’s brand and the ways in which you tell your story can help you deliver key messages, cultivate relationships, and build a solid customer base.  
 
That’s why JEDCO and the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce teamed up to bring you a panel discussion on branding, marketing and advertising strategies to support your business goals in 2023. We’ve assembled a panel of three local experts will cover a variety of topics, including:

MEET OUR PANEL

Josh Chenier, Account Executive
OUTFRONT Media

Josh’s career has spanned 10 years where he has learned the ins and out of multiple media industries. Josh moved to New York City in 2013 to work in media sales for CNN, quickly working his way up to Media Planner. Josh pivoted and then shifted to the Out-of-Home industry, working for several years at a start-up media buying agency, Project X. After 5 years, Josh decided to move back to the state of Louisiana and joined OUTFRONT in New Orleans as an Account Executive where he’s been working to develop both local, regional and national client relationships. Josh and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their first child in January. Between juggling being a full-time Salesperson and Father, Josh also finds time for hobbies like golf and bonding with his dog, Otis. He's passionate about community service as he’s involved with several community organizations as well as obtaining his MBA from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
 

Jennie Diemont, President and Chief Creative Officer
Deep Fried Advertising

Jennie founded Deep Fried in 2004 to help businesses ​reach their potential by building memorable brands and effective campaigns. A graduate of the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, she is a purpose-driven problem solver endlessly inspired by client success. As a visionary president and devoted chief creative officer, she and her team have worked with numerous clients to craft their brand stories, marketing strategies, and online experiences, including Clover, Tulane Doctors, RESTORE the Mississippi River Delta, River District, Jefferson Parish, and the French Market.
Outside of the office, Jennie enjoys supporting her community by serving on several non-profit boards and seeking new professional enrichment opportunities. She is a smitten boy-mom of two, lover of historic architecture and travel, and at her happiest spending weekends with family and friends, raiding her refrigerator to create dishes without recipes.

 

Jessica Palazzo, Sr. Business Development Consultant
MLCworks

Jessica Palazzo is the Sr. Business Development Consultant at MLCworks, a full-service marketing agency headquartered in Metairie. Jessica is an advocate for business growth, fearlessly helping regional clients drive results through creativity and people. She brings her prior experience in sales, fundraising, and hospitality to help clients achieve milestones and create meaningful interactions with customers. An alumna of St. Mary’s Dominican High School and Loyola University, she’s a proud New Orleanian who enjoys the city’s music and festivals. She currently resides in Lakeview with her family and dog.

 

MODERATOR: Greg Buisson, CEO
Buisson Creative

A graduate of Loyola University with a double major in Political Science and Mass Communication, Greg Buisson began his career in journalism as a reporter for The Times-Picayune. In 1978, Greg served as press secretary to Louisiana Lieutenant Governor James E. Fitzmorris Jr. and was a press liaison in the administrations of Governor Edwin Edwards and Governor Dave Treen. In 1985, Greg joined WVUE-TV as marketing director and rose to become vice-president and general manager over the 13 years there — leading the news station to a strong #2 position in late news. His work promoting and marketing the station earned him hundreds of awards, including the National Association of Broadcasters’ Service to Children Award, the President’s Freedoms Foundation Medal and the National Education Association’s Golden Flame for Advancement of Learning Through Broadcasting. Then, in 1999, Greg created his own marketing and advertising company, Buisson Creative. With both political and corporate clients, Buisson Creative is recognized for its uniquely themed campaigns, high-quality print, radio and television commercials, and high success rate both electing candidates to office and increasing sales for businesses. Greg serves on numerous boards throughout the New Orleans area, including the past president of the New Orleans Advertising Club, a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and a signee of the AAPC Code of Ethics. Greg’s awards in advertising include Advertising Regions President of the Year and the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award for Lifetime Achievement in Advertising.
