Throughout the month of October 2025, Oakwood Center has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank to conduct a Food Drive in support of Breast Cancer Awareness in conjunction with their Pink Second Line event be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from NOON-3PM. 
You can drop off your donations at Oakwood Center, 197 Westbank Expressway, Gretna, LA 70053 in the boxes, near the center court fountain during mall hours: Mon-Thurs 11AM-7PM, Fri & Sat 11AM-8PM and Sun, Noon-6PM.
When collecting non-perishable food (in non-glass containers) for their drive, please also consider nutritional food items that are low in sodium/salt and sugar. Second Harvest’s current preference is to do food drives focused on one specific item. This allows them to get more of what they need most, avoid the labor of sorting, and pack product into uniform cases which is easier to distribute.
