Osborne will sign copies of his latest limited-edition print, The Blood Line, at multiple locations throughout the region in June. Event dates and times can be found at bit.ly/m/Osborne “I’m excited to celebrate New Orleans while inspiring an act as important as donating blood,” Osborne said. “This painting reflects our city’s lifeblood, rhythm and soul. It honors regular donors and encourages new ones. Giving is a beautiful act that deserves depiction, reminder and awareness — and it should be noticed with ongoing support.” The vibrant artwork showcases a colorful Canal Street streetcar, brass bands, joyful faces and scenes of celebration — including The Blood Center’s headquarters. The painting will be featured on exclusive donor recognition items, creating a collectible series available only to those donating with The Blood Center. The Blood Center plans to continue working with Osborne in the years ahead to produce additional works of art that will also be used to thank and recognize donors. “His art captures life being shared with joy and purpose,” said Billy Weales, CEO of The Blood Center. “We are grateful for his time, talent, devotion and partnership. It’s hard to contain our excitement as we begin sharing his art.” “This work also honors so many unseen heroes around us, including our staff and teams who work tirelessly 365 days a year to collect, maintain and preserve a safe, stable and adequate blood supply for patients in more than 40 hospitals across southern Louisiana, southern Mississippi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” Weales added. “Each person has an important role in life — both individually and together. Terrance Osborne reminds us to notice each combined brushstroke that creates a beautiful painting, inspiring us to care, share and always celebrate life.” Upcoming blood drives where the artist will be in attendance include: Ocean Springs Donor Center is open Tuesday, June 3, from 10-6 pm with the artist in attendance from noon- 2 pm West Bank Donor Center is open Wednesday, June 4, from 10-7 pm with the artist in attendance from 3-5 pm Picayune Donor Center is open Thursday, June 5, from 9-6 pm with the artist in attendance from 10- noon Slidell Donor Center is open Thursday, June 5, from 10-7 pm with the artist in attendance from 3-5 pm Thibodaux Donor Center is open Saturday, June 7, from 9-4 pm with the artist in attendance from 10- noon Metairie Donor Center is open Saturday, June 7, from 9-5 pm with the artist in attendance from 1:30-3:30 pm Hammond Donor Center is open Tuesday, June 10, from 9-6 pm with the artist in attendance from 10- noon Mandeville Donor Center is open Tuesday, June 10, from 9-6 pm with the artist in attendance from 2-4 pm Donors who have previously received a print are encouraged to bring a friend to donate and have their works signed.
